Live Nation New Zealand concerts to include temperature screening, contact tracing, social distancing | Music Business Worldwide

There’s a lot of debate in the industry at the moment about what exactly post-quarantine live music will look like.

Live Nation New Zealand’s upcoming concert series at Auckland venue the Tuning Fork may offer a glimpse of the new normal.

The Together Again series of small, weekly socially distanced events will require attendees to have their temperature screened and participate in contact tracing.

Other venue procedures meanwhile, will include contactless tech, more cleaning, operating at a reduced (100-person capacity) and venue staff will be wearing essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves.

In addition, attendees will be required to maintain social distancing and food and beverage will only be available via table service by ordering from a handheld device.

Beginning on Friday, May 29, Together Again, will feature a rotating line-up of local musicians, comedians and performers starting with comedian Urzila Carlson alongside Ray O’Leary, Nick Rado (MC) and Ruby Esther at The Tuning Fork in Auckland.

Hollie Smith will perform on Saturday, May 30.
