Vevo has officially named Alan Price as Chief Executive Officer after serving as interim since December 2017.
He steps up into the role following the departure of Erik Huggers at the end of last year, and has been part of the company’s senior leadership team as Chief Financial Officer since the launch of Vevo in 2009.
As CEO, Price will continue to focus on maximizing the commercial value of premium music video content and growing Vevo’s business around the world.
In his time leading the company over the last nine months, he has expanded Vevo’s audience reach across YouTube, and driven innovation around original content and the ways fans access its video offerings.
Prior to joining Vevo, he spent an extensive part of his career at Sony Music Entertainment, where he held numerous senior finance positions, most recently as Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations for the Columbia/Epic Label Group.
Price began his career in 1991 as an auditor at Arthur Anderson LLP.
“Alan Price’s deep understanding of Vevo’s mission, and his long track record of success make him the ideal choice to lead the company forward as we continue to support and invest in providing fans with the best premium music video programming.”
