25 Great Ways To Get Fans To Take Action | hypebot

1With newsfeeds as saturated as they are these days, getting and keep you fans' attention can seem next to impossible. One way to cut through the chatter and truly engage them, however, is through a straightforward call to action. Here we look at twenty-five applicable examples.

With so many ads filling up your fans’ newsfeeds it can feel almost impossible to get – let alone keep – anyone’s attention these days.

What’s important to remember is that it’s less about trying to stand out above the noise and more about demanding fans’ attention by telling them how you want to receive that attention. We accomplish this by providing a clear Call to Action (CTA) in our posts.

A CTA is a specific, concise, directive that tells people what you want them to do next. Providing a CTA in your posts helps followers take action without having to think too much about it.

For example, posting a photo with the caption, “What do you think?” is too vague; followers would have to look the photo, think about how the photo makes them feel, and then decide how to verbalize what they’re thinking.

2However, if you posted the same photo with the caption, “Caption this!,” it directs your followers to look at the photo and decide what the photo is saying. They do not have to think about and translate their own feelings, and captioning a specific photo is easier than trying to simplify complex feelings about an image.

There can be a lot of pressure to come up with something to say online. There is also a small window of opportunity to capture someone’s focus as they endlessly scroll through a growing list of posts.

When we are specific with what it is we’re looking for, and how we would like to be supported, others will respond in kind, feeling confident that they’re communicating in the right way to you.

An effective CTA is clear on two points: (1) what you want someone to do, and (2) how you want them to carry it out. Telling someone to follow you is ok. However, telling someone to follow you by “clicking here” is better.

Below are 25 different CTAs that you can use outright, or personalize for your own use when necessary. Be sure to tell us in the comments which one(s) you plan on using this week!
