CODA hires leading live agent Geoff Meall for management team | Music Business Worldwide

Top UK live agent Geoff Meall has joined the management team at fast-growing Coda Agency.

Meall was formerly Managing Director at The Agency Group where he worked since 1992.

After The Agency Group was acquired by United Talent Agency in 2015, Meall moved across to head up the UK office.

Acts he looked after while there included Muse, Foals, Don Broco, Paramore, Dexys and Billy Talent.

Coda is the European partner of Paradigm Talent Agency.

Last year, the firm launched a joint venture with Independent Talent Group and established a fund to invest in ‘innovative and future-facing live projects’.

Later in April, Paradigm formed a similar partnership with live music agency X-ray Touring and investment firm Yucaipa.

Act on Coda’s roster include Liam Gallagher, The xx, Imagine Dragons, Sia, Rag’N’Bone Man, Ellie Goulding, Take That, The Prodigy, Bon Iver, Chvrches, Shawn Mendes, Years & Years, Bastille and Fever Ray.

“I’m delighted to start the next chapter of my agency life” said Meall.

“Once I made the decision to make a move there was only really one choice – Coda in my opinion are the most dynamic agency in the business.”

“Once I made the decision to make a move there was only really one choice – Coda in my opinion are the most dynamic agency in the business.

“Their A&R signings and successes over the last few years have been unparalleled.

“They have the benefits of their partnerships with Paradigm, X-Ray and ITG yet retain a maverick and independent culture.

“It’s also a fun place to work and that should always be the first priority! I’m excited to be part of the future of Coda.”

“It fills us with great pride that someone of Geoff’s experience, influence, and standing in the music industry has joined CODA.”

“He will bring a breadth of musical knowledge to CODA that will only compliment and strengthen the existing management team.

“It’s a shame he is a Scouser otherwise it would have been the perfect addition!”
