Decca Records signs triple deal with Michael Ball and Alfie Boe | Music Business Worldwide


The duo behind the UK’s biggest-selling album of last year, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, are teaming up once more for new record Together Again.

Their debut LP as a pairing, the Decca Records-issued Together, has now sold more than 600,000 copies in the UK market, reaching double-platinum status.

The follow-up album, due for release later this year, marks the start of a fresh partnership with Decca.

The Universal UK label, run by President Rebecca Allen, has confirmed three new signings: Michael Ball joining as a solo artist, Alfie Boe returning as a soloist, and Ball & Boe reuniting as a duo.

Ball and Boe will also be playing a run of outdoor dates this summer including Lincoln Castle, Hampton Court Palace and the Old Royal Naval College.

They will also be embarking on a major arena tour across the country later this year, starting in Cardiff on 30th November and concluding at London’s O2 Arena on 14th December.

Michael Ball is a double Olivier Award winner and multi-platinum recording solo artist, in addition to being a popular radio and TV presenter.

Tony Award winner Alfie Boe has led the cast of Les Misérables, and played at both the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace – and the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle.
